THE SURROUNDINGS DIMENSION // Earthing is one of the most powerful and simplest things you can do to improve your health. Earthing also called grounding, is a therapeutic technique that involves doing activities that “ground” or electrically reconnect you to the earth.

This practice relies on earthing science and grounding physics to explain how electrical charges from the earth can have positive effects on your body. One of the theories is that our skin contact with the earth allows electrons to spread into the skin as well as the body, which thereby impacts immune markers. We know that ninety percent of all of our chronic health conditions are linked to excessive or persistent inflammation.

The earth has an infinite supply of free electrons, so when a person is grounded, those electrons naturally flow between the earth and the body, reducing free radicals and eliminating any static electrical charge.

The reason grounding is so powerful is it reduces and prevents inflammation from occurring in the body, which in turn prevents inflammation-related health disorders. The easiest way to get grounded is to just get outside barefoot. or just sit in the dirt and or grass. You could spend as little as 10 minutes to see some benefits up to an hour by standing or sitting in a chair and placing your feet on the ground. Another alternative if you don’t have access to outdoors is to purchase an indoor grounding mat. It works by creating an electrical connection between your body and the Earth, simulating the effect of walking barefoot directly on the ground..

Our true wealth is our health. Grounding is one of the simplest ways to boost your overall health and can be a great thing to include in an integrative approach to healing. It’s a no cost way for you to immediately align with your innate well- being
