"Home For The Soul"
Well-being is not a fad. At Soul Abode, well-being is the DNA of our business. We believe that wellness is an active process through which people become aware of, and make choices toward, a more authentic life experience. Being women of color, we started this company because we know that women of color are being left out of the conversations surrounding beauty, health, and wellness. We aim to create an inclusive space to have these conversations, change the narrative and inspire them to take ownership of their self-care journey to thrive and have optimal health.
Our contribution is in sharing curated information, cutting-edge education, interactive videos, and dynamic products that give women immediate access to a range of easy and quick solutions to make informed decisions about their well-being. We offer a customized, self-care journey by collaborating with retailers, coaches, beauty professionals, and wellness practitioners dedicated to creating a superior healthy living and well-being experience for women with different cultural backgrounds, ideals, and practices.
We Believe in Soul Care
Most people see wellness only in terms of physical health. At Soul Abode, we believe in Soul Care, a holistic, multi-dimensional approach to wellness rooted in six dimensions of well-being. True well-being is the balanced integration of soul, connection, mindset, feelings, movement, and surroundings. We can tap into our inner and outer beauty when all of these dimensions are strong and balanced. In contrast, problems in one dimension can negatively impact the other dimensions.
We Believe That Wellness is Personal
Bio-Individuality means “There's no one-size-fits-all” road to wellness. We are all unique individuals with a signature footprint concerning our health. In bio-individuality, we recognize each person will differ in their needs due to their external and internal factors like the foods we eat, our emotional thoughts, lifestyle patterns, and our surrounding physical environment.
We Believe That Self-Care is Self Preservation
We believe that self-care is the crux of all care. Self-care is any activity that we do deliberately to take care of our mental, emotional, and physical health. It is not only about considering our needs; it is instead about knowing what we need to do to take care of ourselves and being subsequently able to take care of others. It’s a continual life process that helps you remember your self-worth.
We Believe in Diversity
Diversity in wellness goes far beyond the color of a person's skin. It's about understanding a person's mindset within a larger context of culture, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, and socioeconomic realities. We take advantage of the woman of color’s cultural reverence, such as language, experiences, traditions, celebrations, and other concepts to cultivate a unique lifestyle and wellness message.
